Darin
Ezra - CEO
Darin
brings over a decade of experience in the Consumer Packaged
Goods (CPG) industry. Darin founded SunWorld International
(SunWorld), a company that specialized in the import
and distribution of CPG brands. SunWorld acquired the
import and distribution rights for top selling U.S. brands
in Southern Africa, including Celestial Seasonings, Ice
Drops and Energy Now (a top selling energy tablet in
the U.S.). After two years of operating and growing the
company, Darin sold his interest in SunWorld to IS Distributors
(IS), the agent for The Dial Soap Company and Freeman
Cosmetics, in order to relocate his business to the U.S.
Darin formed Big Brands, which manufactured and distributed
CPG brands in 30 states and abroad. Darin’s responsibilities
included all design, development, packaging, marketing,
and operations of the business. Big Brands successfully
launched Mad Bull Energy Drink in the U.S., then developed
and launched the popular Wild Buzz Energy Drink. After
selling his interest in Big Brands, Darin launched several
successful beverage brands, including Go Girl Energy
Drink and Kabbalah Energy Drink, and is a sought after
consultant in the beverage industry.
Martin Molina - COO
Martin manages all
strategic marketing efforts for Power Brands. Martin
brings over 14 years of food & beverage marketing
experience with industry powerhouses such as Nestle USA
and Pepsi. Martin began his CPG career as a research
analyst with A.C. Nielsen before joining Nestle USA and
progressing through brand management ranks on brands
including Nestle Sweet Success, Nestle Carnation Baby
Formula and Nestle Carnation Baby Cereal. Martin’s
beverage experience includes over four years of channel
marketing experience within the Pepsi Cola system. Most
recently, Martin led the strategic marketing efforts
for Light Force Water Source, a start-up incubator for
new energy drink brands and has led operations at Power
Brands since its inception in 2006.
Charlie Quinn - Vice President
Charlie contributes over 20 years of Consumer Packaged Goods,
brand management, and consumer promotion experience. He
began his CPG career at Procter & Gamble, where he spent
over 10 years in their flagship division. Across his career,
he has had hands on experience working with the top fifteen
retailers in all channels of trade. In recent years, Charlie’s
career has focused on consumer promotion. As a key member
at Valassis, Charlie called on his CPG and brand management
expertise to create and implement consumer promotion campaigns
for international clients such as M&M Mars, Pfizer, Bayer,
Novartis, Newman’s Own, and Fuji, helping them to refine
and execute against their strategic intent. In addition, Charlie
has served as a business consultant to a host of emerging
businesses in a variety of settings, including Silicon Valley,
strategizing on how best to capture the consumer. Utilizing his
marketing, brand management, and finance experience, Charlie
continues to assist Power Brands clients launch new products,
refine strategic intent, and execute go-to-market campaigns.
Evan Silver - Vice President
Evan is a 25-year veteran of the food and beverage industry. A native Los Angelino, Evan graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in international relations and trade. He started his career working in operations management then directed all management recruiting for a prominent publicly-traded Los Angeles-based international restaurant chain, as it grew from two to over eighty-five units over the course of his fourteen years there. Next, he spearheaded the west coast recruiting efforts for the nation's leader in senior-level retained executive search for the hospitality and foodservice industry. His expertise in beverage programs, restaurant operations, project management, information technology, and human resources led him to partner in developing a new full-service casual-dining restaurant company with two Los Angeles-area locations and an upscale cocktail lounge. Evan sold his ownership in these businesses and joined Power Brands, specializing in operations, administration, and new business development.
Niyati Parikh - Director of Research & Development
With a Masters in
Food Science and Technology from the University of New
South Wales, Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree
in Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College, India,
Niyati brings exceptional academic credentials to the
Power Brands Food Science division. Niyati’s extensive
knowledge of beverage processing, preservatives, extracts,
flavors, coloring, and natural and organic ingredients,
allows her to provide expert guidance to clients and
develop exceptional formulations in the lab.
Alina Guerrero - Beverage Scientist
A native of Southern California, Alina graduated from California State University Northridge with a degree in Food Science and Technology. She began her professional career in the flavor industry, where she was responsible for developing a variety of products such as baked goods, bars and beverages. Her passion for innovation and her knowledge of food and beverage development allows her to work creatively and effectively on new beverages.
Kris Guiao - Creative Director
Kris earned his first Bachelor's degree in Applied Ecology from the University of California, Irvine and a second Bachelor's degree from the Art Institute. Immediately after graduating, he began a career as an Account Executive for TransWestern Publishing–one of the largest publishing companies in the nation–becoming one of the fastest and youngest Senior Account Executive in the company's history. Incidentally, it was also there that Kris began utilizing his passion for art and design which prompted him to seek more opportunities and success as a freelance designer ranging from branding, consumer packaged goods, entertainment and publishing.
